I don’t know who needs to hear this, but it’s NOT TOO LATE to pull together your outdoor space. Summer is only half way over. Barely. And September is the best month to hang outside anyway. Due to travel, guests, our bathroom remodel and all around summer insanity with the kids, I myself JUST got around to tidying and sprucing my deck for the season. So whether you need motivation or inspiration – I got you. Scroll on for my small-scale deck transformation and the Wayfair pieces I’d recommend to get your outdoor lounging and entertaining on!

The Firepit Table Lit The Flame…

This year, the only actual NEW piece I added is a propane firepit table. You see, my old one had cracked after my very first use last Summer – and THIS summer I found a WASP nest on the inside of it! Needless to say, it had to go. And the new one I found is sooooo functional and really suits my existing furniture well. I love that it has two large surface areas for plants, evening cocktails and alfresco dining. I’ve linked this exact firepit table – as well as some of my other Wayfair firepit finds – below.

…which turned into a cleaning frenzy!

Please don’t think you need to replace every outdoor piece you own every season. You’d be surprised what a pressure washer, magic eraser and some mildew remover can do. This is the 4th season I’ve had my WHITE upholstered settee and outdoor rug from Wayfair and they clean up nicely every year – and I live in Central Oregon! I always love the selection of outdoor rugs on Wayfair. They truly feel like an extension of the home – and I’ve rounded up my favorite options for you below. Many are on sale!

B+W Sunbrella Forever

I’ve reupholstered or purchased patio furniture in this exact black and white sunbrella fabric too many times to count. It is a TRUE CLASSIC. Soooo why not just go for it, and turn my old, broken, 90’s hot tub into a daybed featuring my favorite fabric? My sister helped me pull this off, and it was quite simple. First, we removed the bars and ladders, and then we cut outdoor rated foam cushions from a craft store to fit the top of the jacuzzi. We used spray glue to set the foam in place over the jacuzzi cover, then used a staple gun to secure the black and white fabric in place. A few well placed outdoor cushions including a long lumbar later – and this is now the most coveted hang out spot on the patio! (For us, and for our dog Hugo). If you’re not feeling crafty (or you don’t have a broken jacuzzi to work with) get the look with some of my favorite sunbrella black and white outdoor pieces from Wayfair:

I’ve been collecting my patio setup over time, and couldn’t be more happy with how this year’s tweaks turned out! Kenny and I have been sitting out here reading, catching up on work and catching up with eachother every night after the kids go to bed since I spruced it up. Starting from scratch? I’ve got you. Every time I go to update my outdoor space, my first stop is Wayfair – I always find the BEST outdoor rugs, seating and tables. Shop some of my favorite pieces I found below! I have accepted monetary compensation and free product or services from Wayfair in exchange for my endorsement of Wayfair. All thoughts, opinions and product selections are my own.
