Sure, I got a few more walls cut in and painted this weekend. A few more accessories and items I ordered for the nursery arrived. But all eyes this week are on the RUG!

Even in carpeted rooms like this one, rugs truly make all the difference. Not only do they make a space feel cozy, but they can completely up the ante style-wise. I knew I wanted a black and white rug that had a small pattern, as not to compete with the LARGE scale zebras on the wall. Enter Common Ground Rug Co.

I am so very excited to partner with Common Ground Rug Co to find the EXACT rug I had imagined for this space. Out of the many many MANY rug sites out there, I love this one for a few reasons – the curation, the organization, and the reasonable price-points. Rug shopping can be so overwhelming – you have to dig through hundreds of so-so rugs to find the treasures. But not on Common Ground Rug Co. Tastefully curated, affordable rugs are organized by approachable categories such as “Neutral Favorites,” “California Casual,” and my favorite – “Black and White.” That’s how I found this beauty.

Black, white and geometric to coordinate with my house – check. Cozy-soft pile – check. Subtle color variation to mask un-avoidable spills and stains that happen in a nursery – check! It’s kind of modern, kind of bold – and very unique. Just like my nursery.

I’m obsessed with this rug and can’t WAIT to see it in the room! Unfortunately, since our bathroom renovation is still going strong, we are unable to move OUT of the nursery at this time. Meaning, there is still a king mattress in the middle of the floor. But that’s not stopping us from checking off some MAJOR work on the space this weekend. On the list: finish painting, start construction on the reading nook and apply paneling and wallpaper to the feature wall. I’m exhausted just thinking about it. I think I’ll curl up on this rug instead.

Much more to come next week! To revisit the master nursery plan, check out my ORC Week One Post Here.
